ACNE X LANVIN

Two of joes[a]fiend's favourites brands, Lavin and Acne have come together to create an amazing denim range. The range isn't cheap but would you expect it to be, when you combine the creative force of Alber Elbaz and the Acne power house?

HIROSHI’S BLUE SUEDE SHOES

Nike has teamed up with streetwear legend/pioneer Hiroshi Fujiwara. This collaboration sees Fujiwara pick one of his favourite Nike shoe, the Tennis Classic SB, and gave it a subtle Fujiwara interpretation.

The classic shoe comes in four solid colourways [blue, gray, green and red] but the blue is our favourite.

You can get your hands on these at the Nike 1948 store on Batemans Row, London from 10.10.08.

LOUIS DES GARCONS

So we just caught wind of this collaboration… Let's be honest, does it get any better than Rei Kawakubo giving part of her Tokyo COMME des GARCONS store space to commemorate 30 years of Louis Vuitton in Tokyo? We think not!

The space will hold Kawakubo designed bags for Louis Vuitton for a total of three months starting in September.

We’re pretty blown away by this news!

LIBERTY LUNCHEON MEAT

News just in from our French correspondent – joes[a]fiend can reveal that Liberty are indeed entering in to the realm of the collaboration with SPAM. Details are yet to be released by the Liberty press office but we believe these will sell better than pork pies.

POSH NOODLES

Collaborative culture is riding high, but the latest collaboration to come to our attention is a little more interesting than most. Harrods has teamed up with “the slag of all snacks” - the legendary and iconic Pot Noodle. The limited run of 100 hand-flocked and gold-leafed pots will retail at a whopping £30 with all the proceeds going to “Action Against Hunger.”

joes[a]fiend predicts/would like to see the next collaboration to come in the form of Liberty reworking Spam.

THE PRICE OF HAPPINESS IN SPRING/SUMMER 08 IS...

£179. That is the cost of this Raf Simons x Eastpak duffle backpack, my personal favourite of all the bags Raf has designed for Eastpak this season. The backpack pays homage to the traditional army duffle bag. Raf has reworked the bag with performance fabrics and added some nice contrasting straps. I was getting tired of designer collaborations, they usually consist of a big brand commissioning a small brand to put a print on something. The Raf Simons x Eastpak collaboration is one that has ticked all my boxes!

I’ll be picking mine up this week and waving good-bye to my gold Vans x Marc Jacobs backpack.
